NATCHITOCHES - Dr. Paralee Norman, a professor of English at Northwestern State University, has been appointed editor of Louisiana Council of Teachers of English Council Notes.

The official newsletter of the Louisiana Council of Teachers of English, Council Notes serves more than 200 of the state's public school teachers and faculty in higher education. Norman, who teaches at Northwestern's Leesville-Fort Polk campus, is a former president of the organization. Her tenure as editor will run until October 2000.
