FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NATCHITOCHES- Auditions for NSU Summer Dinner Theatre's production of Nunsense will be held Tuesday, July 1 at 7 p.m. in A.A. Fredericks Auditorium on Northwestern State University's Natchitoches campus. Scott Burrell is the director. Those auditioning will be asked to perform a prepared one minute comic monologue and sing at least 16 measures from a stage musical. Both women and men are welcome to audition.

Nunsense, written by Dan Goggin, is a musical hit that won the Outer Critics' Circle awards for best Off-Broadway musical and for Best Book and Best Music. Nunsense is a hilarious talent show staged by five survivors of the Little Sisters of Hoboken nunnery, after the rest of the sisters died from food poisoning after eating vichyssoise prepared by Sister Julia, Child of God.

The remaining "Little Hobos" parade their talents at a variety show staged to raise funds so that the last four of the dearly departed can be buried. Nunsense offers a cornucopia of hilarity for the whole family, proving conclusively that nun rhymes with fun.
