NATCHITOCHES- An exhibit by Northwestern State University art major Johnna Owecki, containing some of the familiar sites of Natchitoches will be on display beginning Oct. 18. The show, "After Hours," will be on display in the downstairs area of the Orville Hanchey Art Gallery until Oct. 22.
Owecki is a graduate of Provencal Christian Academy. Her senior exhibit will have watercolors of local landmarks such as the Exchange Bank Building, the Nakatosh Hotel and Natchitoches Parish Courthouse. Owecki will also display some landscape prints.
"I was inspired by the things I have seen around me for a long time and wanted to express that," said Owecki.
A reception will be held Monday, Oct. 18 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Hanchey Gallery. Regular hours for the Gallery are weekdays from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
