NATCHITOCHES -Northwestern State University's Office of Electronic and Continuing Education will offer several parenting workshops in March.

Participants will gain insightful techniques that will enable them to foster relationships with their children. The workshops will give parents skills on how to help their child deal with the school bully, live with their "alien" teenager and effective communication skills so that their child will allow them to enter their world. The courses are intended for grandparents, parents, students, educators and community leaders.

"Living with a Teenage Alien (How to Cope with Your Teenager)" will be offered on Thursday, March 18.

"Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Bully (How to Stop Your Child from Being Bullied)" will be offered on Thursday, March 25.

"Can You Hear Me Now? No! (Develop Communication Skills so You Can Talk to Your Teenager)" will be offered on Thursday, April 1.

All of the workshops will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. in room 218 of Russell Hall. The instructor will be Terri Marshall. The fee for each workshop is $20.
