NATCHITOCHES- The Department of Continuing Education at Northwestern State University is sponsoring a short course, "Taking Better Family Pictures," beginning May 6. The class will continue on May 13, 20 and 27 from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. in Room 218 of Russell Hall. Dr. Ron McBride is the instructor.

The class is designed to improve picture taking skills particularly for family portraits and vacation photographs. In the course, participants will learn about common mistakes made while shooting pictures and how to avoid them.

Needed supplies for the class include an adjustable 35 mm camera (preferred), three to five rolls of film plus availability for processing between classes. Those taking part can also provide examples of work produced.
