NATCHITOCHES-Northwestern State University has selected the members of the Purple Pizazz Pom Pon Line for 2002-03.
The Pom Pon line serves as a spirit hostess group, assisting the Yell Leaders in promoting spirit during Demon athletic functions. This squad performs side-line cheers, chants and pom-dance style routines during football and basketball games.
Pom Pom Line captains will be Raegan Rivers of Greenwell Springs and Kendra Campbell of Abbeville. Megan Boudreaux of Sulphur is the fundraiser chairman, Brittany Bennett of Bossier City is the choreographer while Megan Sandlin of Baton Rouge is the fitness coordinator.
Also named to the Pom Pon Line were: Kelli Stewart and Brittany Parham of Baton Rouge, Leslie Ross, Erica Bonnette, Crystal Manning and Halie Lucky of Natchitoches, Amy Reiser of Marrero, Everly McClinton of DeRidder, Kim Guillot of Marksville and Candace Rachal of Dry Prong.
Others selected were Randi Lawrence and Danielle Warsley of New Orleans, Rebecca Brennan and Crystal Duehring of Bossier City, Nicole Gangi of Kenner, Essence Payne and Naomi Robinson of Shreveport and Crystal Stroman of Gladewater, Texas.
The 2002-03 Pom Pon Line will also include Kristy Benoit of Welsh, Annie Drost and Laura Williams of Sulphur, Gina Theriot of Port Allen, Megan Moore of Minden, Rikki "Nikki" Reed of White Oak, Texas Holly Price of Winnfield, Lindsay Blair of Port Allen, Jimmeka Barnes of Greenwood, Kathryn Raymond of Monroe, Rebecca Jennings of Folsom and Stephanie Lawrence of Slidell.
