NATCHITOCHES -The Northwestern State University College of Education and the Louisiana Department of Education Regional Service Center will co-host a free PRAXIS examination workshop on Saturday, September 9, from 9 a.m.-noon. The workshop will be held in the Teacher Education Center on NSU's Natchitoches campus. The purpose of this workshop is to present test-taking strategies as well as a content area review to assist current and prospective teachers who are preparing to take the PRAXIS test.
Dr. Reba Powers of the McNeese State University College of Education will be a guest speaker. Dr. Powers has been conducting PRAXIS preparation workshops for several years and has enjoyed great success in guiding her students to a passing PRAXIS score. NSU faculty members Dr. Marty Rhymes, Dr. Kimberly McAllister, Connie Melder, and DeeDee Perot will conduct content area review sessions during the workshop.
