NATCHITOCHES ­Dr. Nate Pritts, temporary assistant professor of English at Northwestern State University, has had several poems accepted for publication in national and international journals. His work will appear in The Southern Review, The Cimarron Review (published at Oklahoma State University) and POOL. Two online journals have also accepted work by Pritts. His poetry will appear in DIAGRAM, www.thediagram.com, TYPO, www.typomag.com.

"I have had a good run lately," said Pritts. "My work tends to be linguistically oriented. I try to make it sound as much like people talking as I can. I focus on the fringe meanings of words and say things in ways which are surprising."

Pritts has also received a mini grant from the Louisiana Division Arts to attend the American Literature Association conference in Boston in May. Pritts will chair a panel at the conference and make a presentation.
