FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NATCHITOCHES - The Motown recording group Profyle will perform in concert at Northwestern State University Friday, Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. in Prather Coliseum. The concert is sponsored by NSU's Student Activities Board.

Tickets are free for Northwestern students with student I.D. and $5 for non-students. The box office opens at 5:30 p.m.

The opening act is rapper CAP 1.

The members of the group are from Shreveport and grew up together. They began performing together in local talent shows. Then a demo tape the group had recorded got the attention of a record executive. That led to their Motown debut CD, "Whispers in the Dark."
