NATCHITOCHES - The Small Business Development Center at Northwestern State University will sponsor a Quickbooks Pro Workshop in Alexandria June 22, 23 and 25. The workshop will be from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. each evening in the computer lab of the LSUA-NSU University Center at England Airpark

Dave Mulcahy will be the instructor. The fee for the class is $100 for the course only and $120 per person for the class, workbook and data disk. Advance registration is required for the class which is limited to 16 participants.

During the course participants will learn how to set up accounts, track receivables, build customer lists, pay bills, manage payables and calculate payroll. Other topics in the course include issuing purchase orders, reconciling checking accounts, entering bills, generating reports and writing invoices.

Those taking the class must have a basic working knowledge of computers. The course should be beneficial to those seeking better understanding of small business bookkeeping even if they do not use Quickbooks Pro.
