NATCHITOCHES-An art exhibit by Noemi Ray will be on display in Gallery 2 adjacent to the Orville Hanchey Art Gallery at Northwestern State University. Ray, is a senior art major at NSU from Alexandria. The show will run from Oct. 14-18.
For her senior art show, Ray created digital ad photography for her own company Eighty6 Jeans and Co.
"I had been interested in advertising designs for the past few semesters and decided to create my own company," said Ray. "I was inspired by modern clothing companies such as Abercrombie and Fitch, Guess and Calvin Klein."
In creating her work, Ray used many of her friends as models to give her photos "a more comfortable feel."
Admission is free and open to the public. The gallery will be open each day from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
