NATCHITOCHES - Students can sign up for fall classes at Northwestern State University through Friday, July 31 without leaving home. NSU students can make out their fall schedule or make changes using the university's telephone or World Wide Web registration system. The deadline for registering by telephone or the World Wide Web was extended from July 10.

According to NSU Registrar Lillie Frazier Bell, the system is available to all Northwestern students except first-time students who did not attend the Freshman Connection program.

"We have attempted to develop a registration that is convenient and easy for our students to use," said Bell. "The new system places Northwestern at the forefront among institutions in our region and shows our commitment to better serve our students."

Students can use the telephone registration system by calling 357-7016 or 1-800-618-1531 outside Natchitoches. Web registration can be or accessed at www2.nsula.edu. The web site also has a complete fall class schedule and other student information.

Phone and web registration for the final two summer sessions has expired, but students can enroll for courses in their academic departments. Registration for the third session will take place through Tuesday, June 30. Students can sign up for fourth session courses until Tuesday, July 21.
