NATCHITOCHES - The Rivers' Revue Band will help kick off the 1998 football season at Northwestern State University performing at the tailgate party before the season opener Saturday, Sept 5. The party is sponsored by the NSU Student Activities Board and will be from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. behind the Athletic Fieldhouse. Admission is free. NSU students with a current ID can get free hot dogs, hamburgers and soft drinks.

Tailgate parties will be held before all home games except the Oct. 31 Homecoming game.

The Rivers' Revue Band performs a variety of dance music from the 40's through the 90's mixing rhythm and blues, pop, rock, country and zydeco. Led by Hardrick Rivers, the band includes music professionals with backgrounds in a variety of styles. The Revue performs regularly at area clubs, festivals, private parties and civic celebrations.
