NATCHITOCHES- Industrial and engineering technology students will benefit from the increase in funds of the Walter J. Robinson scholarship. Dr. Bill Robinson has given $5000 to the endowment of the scholarship that is a memorial to his father.
Robinson founded the department at NSU in the 1940's, and served
as department head until his retirement in 1970.
The criteria for the scholarship will be an industrial and engineering
technology student with an academic standing of junior or senior,
and a minimum 3.2 GPA. Also, the student must display characteristics
best admired by Robinson, including scholarship and moral integrity.
The recipient will be determined by a vote of faculty and two student professional organizations, the National Association of Industrial Technology and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.
