NATCHITOCHES - Northwestern State's rowing team captured four first-place finishes Saturday in a meet against Alabama and Centenary held on Cane River.

NSU finished first in varsity women's four plus, both varsity women's eight plus races and in novice women's four plus.

Northwestern was second in varsity men's four plus, novice men's four plus, novice men's eight plus behind Alabama in each race.

The meet was NSU's first home race of the year and was also Parent's Day. Relatives and friends of team members had an opportunity to learn about rowing and get acquainted with Northwestern's rowing program.

NSU's crew currently has 45 members.
