FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NATCHITOCHES -Threats of the presence of anthrax that resulted in the evacuation of a building at Northwestern State University were unfounded and the facility will reopen Thursday morning.
Louisiana State Police reported Wednesday that tests for anthrax in Russell Hall, the NSU College of Business classroom and office building, were negative.
The building was closed Tuesday after an anonymous caller warned that there was anthrax in the ventilation system.
Classes will resume in Russell Hall Thursday morning. Students and faculty who left personal articles in the building when it was evacuated may reclaim them in Room 201 (the Dean's Conference Room.)
All classes scheduled for Russell Hall on Thursday will be held in that building.
