FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NATCHITOCHES-Students from across Louisiana and east Texas will have a chance to take a closer look at the Louisiana Scholars' College at the annual Fall Scholars' Day Saturday, Nov. 6. The open house for the state's designated honor college for the liberal arts and sciences is hosted by Northwestern State University's Office of University Recruiting and the faculty of Scholars' College.
"This is a great opportunity for students to see why Scholars' College is a unique and enriching college experience," said Jamila Maxie, assistant director of university recruiting.
While on campus, the students will participate in a sample Scholars' Class, ask questions during a student panel, and tour Boozman Hall, the honors residence hall. Simultaneously, parents have the opportunity to gather more information during the parent panel session and enjoy a scenic tour of historic Natchitoches.
Also as part of Spring Scholars' Day, students and parents dine with the faculty and students staff from Scholars' College and attend a financial aid and scholarship session.
Scholars' Day is held each fall and spring semester.
