NATCHITOCHES- A "How to Prepare Business Schedule C Tax Returns Workshop" will be held at Northwestern State University Wednesday, March 20 from 9 a.m. until noon in Room 224 of Russell Hall on NSU's Natchitoches campus. The workshop is sponsored by the Northwestern State University Small Business Development Center along with the Internal Revenue Service.
This workshop covers the tax consequences for the individual business owner, detailing the preparation of the Schedule C-Profit or Loss from the Business and Schedule SE-Self Employment Tax that are filed with the form 1040 by sole proprietors. This workshop will also include a brief synopsis of the Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001 and its impact on small business owners.
