FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NATCHITOCHES - The NSU Concert Choir, Men's Chorus and Women's Chorus will present a program NSU Sings! Tuesday, March 6 at 7:30 p.m. in Magale Recital Hall. Admission is free and open to the public.
Dr. Burt Allen will conduct the Concert Choir. Michael Rorex directs the Men's Chorus and Terrie Sanders conducts the Women's Chorus.
The Men's Chorus will perform This Ole Hammer by Walter
Ehret with soloist T'Beau Hampton, Deep River by Howard
Helvey featuring soloist Brusseel Rosenthal,
Let There Be Peace on Earth by Miller and Jackson arranged
by Hawley Ades and You'll Never Walk Alone by Rodgers
and Hammerstein with accompaniment by Jana Krajciova.
Works to be presented by the Women's Choir include Shenandoah arranged by William G. Lycan, The Turtle Dove by Frank Ahrold with soloist Jennifer Collins and Someone to Watch Over Me by George and Ira Gershwin.
The Concert Choir will present two early American hymns, How
Firm a Foundation featuring Whitney Sanders, How
Can I Keep From Singing arranged by Leo Neston and Saul
by Egil Hovland featuring dancers Kimmie Allen, Jessi L. Miller
and K.T. Phillips choreographed by Barry Stoneking. NSU graduate
student Elena Bogaczova will provide accompaniment on organ.
