FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NATCHITOCHES - Northwestern State University's Office of Continuing Education will offer a one-evening course on methods to wisely use the money you already have. The class, "Spending Smarter Techniques" will be held Wednesday June 24 from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. in Room 221 of the Friedman Student Union. The fee for the class is $30 plus a $10 mandatory workbook fee.
Money expert Lynda Kramer, the author of "Debt is a Four-Letter Word, "will be the instructor. Kramer also teaches the Debt-Free and Prosperous Living Workshop. During the course, Kramer will teach participants how the average family can have an emergency fund in just a month while saving thousands of dollars in the first year and each year thereafter. Kramer maintains this can be done on a family's current income with no second job or austerity budget.
According to Kramer, families merely need to learn the secrets of spending smarter or major expenses such as buying a home, purchasing a car, vacations and appliances along with every day necessities such as insurance, utilities, groceries and dining out.
