NATCHITOCHES -A group of art students from Northwestern State University will display watercolors they created this summer in an exhibit at NSU's Orville Hanchey Art Gallery Aug. 21 Sept. 22. Admission is free and open to the public. A reception for the artists will be held Sunday, August 20 at 5 p.m.
The works in the exhibit were created on a visit to South Texas. The group visited San Antonio, Laredo, Nuevo Laredo and Corpus Christi. Excursions were made to places including the Alamo, Riverwalk and Mexican Market in San Antonio, Enchanted Rock and Fredericksburg. Among the popular subjects were the Rio Grande in Laredo, the markets and churches of Nuevo Laredo and the coastal area, along with the boats and ships of Corpus Christi.

Bob Horne, Jennifer Castagnetti, Evan Trisler, Hank Stoer, Betty
Smith, Chesney Creel, Kristin Delahoussaye, Frances Breedlove,
Courtney Payne, Amanda Yeager, Gail Shelton, Stacy Lombardino,
Jay Dunahoe, Judy Horne and Nan Bland.
