FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NATCHITOCHES-If you are thinking about taking a college class this summer, there is time to sign up for one of the remaining two sessions at Northwestern State University.
Registration for the third summer session will be Friday, June 25. Third session classes will be on June 28 until July 16. The fourth session will be on July 19 through August 6 with registration on Friday, July 16.
"Northwestern has a variety of offerings for current students as well as those who want to give college a try," said Director of University Recruiting Jana Lucky. "Our summer schedule is set up with the students in mind. We give them an opportunity to take classes they need and still have time for other activities."
NSU has a unique schedule of summer classes. Students can complete a course in just three weeks by attending class for three hours a day Monday through Friday.
"This class schedule has been very popular with our students for a number of years," said Lucky. "It allows you to concentrate on one class for a short period of time."
Students who will be seniors in high school can take summer classes at NSU through the Collegiate Program, which allows them to get a start on college.
A number of graduate courses are also available. Students can also sign up for classes offered by the Internet or compressed video. Some Saturday classes are also available.
