NATCHITOCHES- The Mrs. H.D. Dear, Sr. and Alice Estelle Dear School of Creative and Performing Arts at Northwestern State University will hold tryouts for Toy Soldiers in the 2003 Christmas Gala Sunday, Oct. 19 at 3 p.m. in the A.A. Fredericks Auditorium.

The audition is for intermediate tap dancers between ages 7 and 10. Those selected will perform in the "Dance of the Wooden Soldiers," a popular number in the annual Christmas Gala at NSU.

Those chosen will be responsible for purchasing the costume they will wear in the gala at a cost of $55 - $75. For more information, contact Dr. Vicki Parrish in the School of Creative and Performing Arts at (318) 357-5793.
