NATCHITOCHES - Dr. Jack Wann, coordinator of theatre at Northwestern State University, and Assistant Professor of Theatre Scott Burrell will take part in the Brown Symposium XXIII on Shakespeare Feb. 8-9 at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.
Among the participants in the symposium will be Stephen Greenblatt, editor of the Norton Shakespeare, Patsy Rodenburg, head of the Royal National Theatre and Tina Packer of the Massachusetts-based Shakespeare and Company. In addition, Ron Bashford, a well-known director of Shakespeare and others will be involved in the two days of panels, talks and workshops.
Wann has also been invited to present a paper on "The
Use of Scansion in Shakespeare" at the 50th annual South-Central
Renaissance Conference April 5-7 at St. Edward's University.
