NATCHITOCHES- The Northwestern State University American Chemical Society Student Affiliation will host guest lecturer Dr. David Wiemer from the University of Iowa Wednesday Feb. 6 at 5:30 p.m. in the President's Room of the Friedman Student Union.

Wiemer will be discussing his work "A search for natural insecticides." The lecture is targeted towards undergraduates. All students and faculty are welcome to attend.

A social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by a dinner at 6:30 p.m. The lecture begins at 7:30 p.m. To make reservations contact Dr. Martin Rudd, chair of the Northwest Louisiana American Chemical Society before noon on Monday Feb. 4 at (318) 357-5224 or ruddm@nsula.edu. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for students.

The lecture is the first in a series by nationally recognized speakers in the field of chemical sciences.
