NATCHITOCHES- A one-man exhibition by Michael Yankowski, a professor of art at Northwestern State University, is on display at the Louisiana College art gallery through March 15.

The exhibit, "Icons, Altars and Reliquaries of the Imagination," includes a collection of 20 highly-crafted mixed media sculptures incorporating wood, metal, paint, and found objects which express ideas and feelings regarding religion, nature and technology

Yankowski has been at NSU for 16 years and teaches graphic communication and photography. He received a Louisiana Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in 2000 and is represented by Carol Robinson Gallery in New Orleans. Yankowski's work has been in numerous regional, national and international exhibitions.
