BETA CHI 

      Beta Chi Chapter was established at Northwestern State University in 1976, giving it the distinction of being the first chapter of Sigma Theta Tau in the state of Louisiana.  Membership has steadily grown to over three hundred active members. Beta Chi members also include the faculty members from Louisiana Tech University.   Beta Chi is proud to uphold the goals and philosophy of Sigma Theta Tau and its members strive for excellence in nursing practice, scholarship, and research.

      Beta Chi is particularly proud to be represented by Dr. Patricia Thompson, who is a past  President of Sigma Theta Tau International.  Her leadership example is a challenge to each Beta Chi member.
