BTEPR
Public Health’s Bioterrorism Preparedness and Emergency Response (BTEPR) Unit is a key player in the state’s terrorism response education and preparation planning.  Through a federal public health preparedness and response for bioterrorism grant, the BTEPR is producing over three million copies of a Family Readiness Guide.

 The Guide tells Louisiana citizens:

  • What to look for in the event of a bioterrorism event;
  • How to prepare families and communities to maximize safety and facilitate recovery;
  • What kind of emergency supplies to acquire;
  • Information citizens need to have on hand to protect their loved ones

 A copy of the Family Readiness Guide can be viewed online at http://www.dhh.state.la.us and clicking on the Bioterrorism Guide button.  The goal of this effort is to put the Family Readiness Guide into the hands of every college student in Louisiana.  Please forward this information to the students.
