NSU WRAC FACILITY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
Building Information
The Northwestern State University
WRAC Facility was built and remodeled in 2005. This 90,000 square
foot facility is the largest in the area. The WRAC Facility houses two
gyms with 4 basketball courts, 3000 sq. ft. free weights area, 2800
sq. ft. strength machine weight area, 2800 sq. ft. cardio-equipment
area, group exercise studio, spin cycle class studio, Fitness Assessment
Lab, game room, 3 racquetball courts, men's locker areas, women's
locker areas, 2 steam rooms, massage room, equipment service center, student
cafe, meeting rooms, 1/9 mile indoor track, and all of the NSU
Department of Wellness & Recreation Administrative staff
offices.
Level One (basement level)
Racquetball Courts: three
state of the art racquetball courts. All courts have the markings for
the exciting game of wallyball.
Free Weight Area: excellent
state of the art Nautilus free weight equipment. Plenty of room and equipment
to work every muscle group.
Strength Machine Weight Area:
excellent state of the art Nautilus strength machine equipment. Every machine
needed to work all muscle groups in a great environment.
Cardio-machine area:
Nu-Step® Machines, Stairmasters, elliptical machines, recumbent, upright
and spin bicycles,
treadmills, and cardio-theatre.
Group Exercise studio:
Spacious aerobics studio with state of the art equipment. Utilized constantly
with the many group exercise classes offered each day.
Spin cycle area: located
next to the aerobics area. Houses plenty of spin cycles to be used during
class.
Game Room: popular area
with the students to play pool, ping pong, foosball, or shuffleboard.
Equipment Service Center:
Room 135 of the basement houses our service center. Patrons are able
to get all of their equipment, locker, and towel needs here with your
Student ID or Patron WRAC ID.
Men/Women Locker Areas: Locker
areas for NSU WRAC patrons are housed in the basement
of the WRAC. Almost 500 lockers, two steam rooms, and plenty of showers and cleaning space
are located in this area.
Stretching Area: located between the cardio area and the group exercise room, patrons may utilize the stretch mats for a pre or post stretching, or the different sized gymnic balls to work on those abs!
Level Two (ground floor)
Reception Area: Located as
you come through the front doors of the WRAC. Here you will present
your NSU One Card or WRAC ID Card for entry in to the building.
Gymnasiums: two large gymnasiums
adjacent to each other. They include four basketball courts, 4 electronic
scoreboards, volleyball courts, and badminton courts. Daily lockers
are located on the east and west side corridors of the gymnasiums.
Café: Area for patrons
to study, eat, or just visit. Located on the ground floor with
tables and chairs available in this section. A large variety of vending
machines available for snacks and drinks.
Fitness Assessment Lab:
Located on the ground floor and serviced by our Fitness Assessment Lab
Manager. Many different fitness assessment activities, testing, and
personal training are offered.
Administrative Area: Located
on the ground floor. Administrators are always accessible to students,
faculty/staff, and alumni for help, questions, and comments. Offices
include our administrative secretary, WRAC Director, Intramural coordinator,
wellness coordinator, club sports, and graduate assistants.
Third Level
Indoor Track: 1/9 mile indoor
track with a rubberized surface that is easy on the legs.
Stretching Areas: two stretching
areas located on either side of the track will enable you to stretch
before and after using the track. Track level Cardio area including
Stairmasters, bikes, ellipticals and rowing machines looking out
the front windows with a beautiful view of the NSU Campus.
Admittance to the
WRAC Facility
Full-time Students:
All current full-time NSU students must present a valid NSU ID card at
the front desk to enter the WRAC Facility. All cards will be swiped on
the card reader to indicate that this student is a current fee paying
student. The ID card should be with each participant during his/her
entire stay at the center unless the card was left at the front desk
or equipment desk. No excuses accepted!
NSU Faculty/Staff:
All NSU Faculty/Staff are eligible to join the WRAC by paying the appropriate
fees. The Faculty/Staff ID will be formatted to enter the WRAC Facility
upon membership. The fee shall be paid in advance for a year, six
months or on a monthly basis
through an electronic bank funds transfer. Electronic bank debit forms
are available at the WRAC front desk. Electronic debit accounts
shall provide a voided check or deposit slip from the account in which
you want debited.
NSU Retired Employees:
All NSU Retired Employees are eligible
to join the WRAC by paying the appropriate fees. The fee shall be paid
in advance for a year, six months or on a monthly basis through an
electronic bank funds transfer. Electronic bank debit forms are available
at the WRAC front desk. Electronic debit accounts shall
provide a voided check or deposit slip from the account in which you
want debited. These members will get a Membership ID Card at the NSU
One Card office located in room 156 of the NSU Student Union. There
will be an ID card fee of $5.00 when first joining.
LSMSA Faculty/Staff:
All LSMSA Faculty/Staff are eligible to join the WRAC by paying the
appropriate fees. This fee shall be paid in advance for a year, six
months, or on a monthly basis through an electronic bank funds transfer.
Electronic bank debit forms are available at the WRAC front desk.
Electronic debit accounts shall provide a voided check or deposit slip
from the account in which you want debited. These members will get
a Membership ID Card at the NSU One Card office located in room 156
of the NSU Student Union. There will be an ID card fee of $5.00 when
first joining.
LSMSA Students:
All LSMSA eligible to join the WRAC by paying the appropriate fees. The fee may be paid by the semester or by the year. All fees must be paid up front.
Students shall have the signature of a parent or guardian giving
permission to be a member of this facility. These members will get a membership ID card at the NSU One Card Office located in room 156 of the Student Union. There will be an ID card fee of $5.00 when first joining.
NSU Alumni: All
NSU Alumni are eligible to join the WRAC by paying the appropriate
fees. This fee shall be paid in advance for a year, six months, or on a
monthly basis through an electronic bank funds transfer. Electronic bank
debit forms are available at the WRAC front desk. Electronic debit
accounts shall provide a voided check or deposit slip from the account
in which you want debited. An NSU alumnus is defined as one who has graduated
from NSU. These members will get their membership ID Card at the NSU
One Card office located in room 156 of the NSU Student Union. There
will be an ID card fee of $5 when first joining.
Friends of NSU:
This membership is open to any member of the NSU Alumni Association,
NSU Athletic Association, or NSU Foundation who makes an annual donation
of at least $100.00 to Northwestern State University on an annual
basis. These members are
eligible to join the WRAC by paying the appropriate fees. This fee
shall be paid in advance for a year, six months, or on a monthly basis
through an electronic bank funds transfer. Electronic bank debit
forms are available at the WRAC front desk. Electronic debit
accounts shall provide a voided check or deposit slip from the account
in which you want debited. These members
will get their membership ID card at the NSU One Card Office. There
will be an ID card fee of $5 when first joining.
Guests: Each guest
shall pay a fee of $10.00 per visit. All guests must show a picture ID, fill out a guest form,
and pay the $10.00 fee at the front desk.
Spouses and Dependents:
Spouses of any of the above groups may join the WRAC Facility, as long
as their spouse in an above group is also a member. Spouses shall pay
appropriate fees. These members will get their membership ID Card at
the NSU One Card office. There will be a $5 fee when first joining.
There is no membership fee for dependents of these members, but there
are procedures to follow. Any dependent under the age of 14 must enter
the facility with his/her parent who is a WRAC member. Dependents shall
pay the $5.00 entry fee to pick up their membership Card. Children under
the age of 8 are not allowed to use the facility. A current member must
accompany children under the age of 14 at all times. Dependents using
the WRAC Facility are those defined as being between the ages of 8-18
and not yet graduated from High School.
Collegiate Dependents: Dependents of members who are currently
full-time students at another University may join the WRAC during the
summer by paying the appropriate fees and providing a current picture
ID from the University they currently attend. All fees must be paid
up front. This membership will be valid during various Holiday seasons. These members will get their membership ID card at
the NSU One Card Office located in room 156 of the NSU Student Union.
There will be a $5 ID card fee when first joining.
30 Day Trial:
Anyone is eligible to purchase a 30 day trial membership. You
shall provide a picture identification as well as fill out all proper
paperwork. This membership is good from the date of purchase for
30 days. All fees shall be paid up front. A WRAC ID card
must be purchased for $5.00 and may be picked up at the NSU One Card
Office located in room 156 of the NSU Student Union.
There will
be NO pro-rated fees for any memberships.
** Using another
persons ID Card or under any other false pretenses to gain admittance
to the WRAC may result in the confiscation of the ID and termination
of ones membership for one year. All students involved will be referred
to the Vice President for Student Affairs**
WRAC Facility Membership
Fees
All members (except NSU
Students) shall sign a membership contract for one year or six months. All members shall pay a
$5 ID card fee(except NSU Students/Faculty/Staff). Fees may be paid
the following ways:

Membership fees may be
paid by cash, check, VISA/MC/AMX, or electronic funds transfer.
* Monthly payments may only be made through bank electronic funds
transfer. All memberships will begin on the 1st of the month.
Memberships beginning after the 10th of any month will be considered to
have started on the 1st of the next month.
(All fees are assessed for full-time students) If any NSU student was
full-time in the Spring, and is not full-time during the Summer, and
would like to use the WRAC Facility, he/she may pay the $75.00 fee for
WRAC membership as long as they are pre-registered for the following
fall semester.

All WRAC Facility members who are not NSU students or NSU Faculty Staff
shall get a WRAC picture ID card at the One Card office in the NSU Student
Union 24 hours after initial membership sign-up. You may pick this
up after your $5.00 ID card fee has been paid. There will be a replacement
fee of $5.00 for a new card.
Any delinquent unpaid balances
due by any patron are subsequent to being placed with the University's
Contracted Collection Agency and reported to credit bureaus, and that
Patron will be responsible for all associated collection costs and legal
fees as allowed under Louisiana State Law.
WRAC CARDHOLDER INFORMATION
Closure of Facilities
and/or modification of hours
The NSU Department of
Wellness and Recreation reserves
the right to limit access to, or temporarily or permanently close, facilities
in case of an emergency, natural disaster, sociopolitical or economic
changes, or for other reasons that may require closure. The facility
will have closure or modification of hours during holidays, school term
breaks, and Summer. (These will be posted in advance).
Amendment of Rules &
Regulation and Fee Structure
The NSU Department of
Wellness and Recreation,
may, at its sole discretion, make such amendments to the rules and regulations,
or the schedule fees, at any time and from time to time, without prior
notice or individual notice to each cardholder. Such amendments shall
be binding for all [appropriate] cardholders. Such amendments will be
voted on and enforced by the NSU Recreational Sports Committee. The
NSU Recreational Sports Committee will be made up of seven members.
This will include five members from the current SGA, appointed or re-appointed
by the SGA President each year, and two faculty/staff members asked to
serve on the committee by the Director of Wellness and Recreation. SGA
members may serve two years maximum. Faculty/Staff members will serve
a four-year term.
WRAC Refund Policy
The membership or services
purchased at the NSU WRAC Facility are not transferable and there shall
be no refund or cancellation during the term of your contract.
Assumption of Risk
A cardholder who participates
in recreational sports activities will be doing so at his/her own risk.
The Department of Wellness and Recreation and the University are not
liable for any accident, injury, loss, or damage to personal property
suffered by a cardholder or guest while in facilities managed by The
Department of Wellness and Recreation or participating in any
recreational sports activity. The Department of Wellness and Recreation and the University
do not carry any insurance program to cover participants. Participation
in any recreational sports activity is on a voluntary basis. All cardholders
are strongly encouraged to undergo a health evaluation and consult with
a personal physician so indicating fitness level appropriateness for
strenuous activity prior to participating in any recreational sports
activity.
Parking
All WRAC members must have
a parking permit and park in the designated lot during the hours of
7:00am - 3:00pm daily. Parking permits are required outside of these
hours; however, you may park in any parking lot with a valid permit.
Termination of WRAC Facility
Privileges
The NSU Department of
Wellness and Recreation,
at its sole discretion, may terminate WRAC Facility Privileges if a cardholder:
- Fails to pay any of his
or her monetary obligations to the NSU Department of Wellness and
Recreation, whether under
these rules or regulations, or otherwise.
- Fails to adhere to the
rules and regulations of the WRAC, NSU Intramurals, or NSU Wellness
programs.
- Fails to adhere to the
NSU Student Code of Conduct while using the WRAC Facility.
- Willfully damages any
facility or equipment.
- Enters incorrect information
on his/her application form.
- Violates any government
laws or regulations, or rules of Northwestern State University, and
its affiliates.
- Damages the Department
of Wellness and Recreation or the University's name and reputation through any actions.
- Fails to act in an orderly
manner or engages in improper conduct.
- Fails to comply with instructions
by staff regarding policies.
- Anyone who has their WRAC
privileges suspended or terminated may appeal to the NSU Recreational
Sports Committee.
- NSU Students who fail
to adhere to these policies or those contained in the NSU Code of
Conduct, will be assured due process as allowed by the NSU Code of
Conduct.
Locker Service
Lockers are available to rent on a first come first serve basis. The
facility includes twenty 60" lockers and forty 36" lockers
in both the men's and women's staff locker rooms. There are one hundred
sixty eight 36" lockers in both the men's and women's general locker
rooms. Each locker that is rented includes towel service.

Towel Procedures
Lockers: When one purchases a locker, they will be given a bath & workout
towel. In order to get a clean towel(s), you must turn in a dirty towel(s).
An exchange of towels shall always take place!
Rental Towels: Towels may be rented for $1 each day. You must leave
your ID at the Service Center desk when you rent a towel. Your ID will
be returned when you turn in the towel.
Once you have a towel, it is your responsibility. The WRAC and its
personnel are not responsible for lost or stolen towels. If you fail
to turn in a towel for any reason, you must pay a $5 fee to get a new
towel or to have your ID returned. There are no exceptions!
Lost and Found Policy
- The WRAC Facility is not
responsible for lost or stolen articles.
- Members are encouraged
to store all personal belongings securely in lockers available in
the WRAC Facility.
- Staff members are not
permitted to hold equipment, valuables, or bags for members.
- Found items should be
turned in to the service desk on the bottom floor of the WRAC Facility.
- Equipment found in all
WRAC facilities will be sent to the service desk in the WRAC Facility
on a daily basis.
- Inquiries regarding items
lost that day should be made to that specific location. Any day thereafter,
inquiries should be made at the WRAC Facility service desk.

Fitness Center Group Usage
NSU Athletic or Club Sport teams may not hold group or team workouts
in any of the WRAC facilities without prior permission from the WRAC Director.
Locker Rooms/Rest Rooms
- It is recommended that
all members and guests leave no valuables unattended.
- When showering, do not leave any soap or shampoo in the shower
area.
- Lost and found articles may be taken to the service desk.
- All thefts, vandalism, or unusual situations should be reported
on an incident report form. You may get this form at the service desk.
- There are operated daily wallet lockers located on each side
of the gymnasium.
Vending Area
All food and beverages shall
stay in the seated café area. No food, gum, or beverage is allowed
anywhere else in the facility. There will be absolutely NO
loitering.
Hallways
- No type of sport activities
will be allowed in hallways of the WRAC building
.
- No bouncing balls at any time.
- Nothing may be posted on any hallway wall, only on appropriate bulletin
boards. One must have permission from a WRAC Professional Staff member
to post a flyer in the WRAC facility.
Group Fitness Classes
There will be a variety of group fitness classes offered daily/weekly
throughout the year. Please see the updated schedules for class times.
Fitness Assessment Lab
- All patrons of the WRAC are welcome to participate in the Personal
Training Program and receive a fitness assessment.
- All patrons interested in a fitness assessment must contact the
Fitness Assessment Lab or the wellness coordinator to make an appointment.
- All patrons that participate in the Personal Training Program must
have a fitness assessment to begin the program.
- All patrons are able to have a fitness assessment without participating
in the Personal Training Program.
- A fitness assessment includes:
- Resting Heart Rate
- Resting Blood Pressure
- Cardiovascular Endurance Test (YMCA Cycle Ergometer Protocol)
- Muscle Strength/Endurance Test (push-up/curl-up test)
- Body Fat Composition (skin fold test)
- Flexibility Testing (sit & reach test)
- All patrons are able to get separate tests done such as; body composition
only, blood lipid testing only; there will be a fee for each test
done.
- All patrons that participate in the Personal Training Program and
have their initial consultation will be given an informed consent,
medical history, goal setting, and personal trainer/client contract
forms to sign before starting the program. The patron must have all
paperwork filled out completely before the fitness assessment can
be done.
- Along with the paper work mentioned above there is a physician’s
clearance form that must be signed by a physician before the fitness
assessment for those patrons that have 2 or more risk factors from
their medical history. Each medical history will be reviewed by the
Wellness Coordinator to determine if a physician’s clearance
is needed. All determinations will be referenced by The American College
of Sports Medicine Guidelines for Exercise Testing and Prescription
6th Edition.
- Before any testing or personal training can take place all personal
training and fitness assessment fees must be paid in full and a receipt
must be given to the Fitness Assessment Lab Manager or Wellness Coordinator
for proof of purchase.
- All paper work, fitness assessment data and exercise prescription
information will remain confidential between the Fitness Assessment Lab Manager, client, personal
trainer and the Wellness Coordinator if needed.
- Client’s have 4 months (from the date of purchase) to use
a Personal Training package. Any sessions not used after 4 months
from the date of purchase are void. Medical situations will be considered
an exception and must be validated by a physician. This policy will
be made clear to the client in the initial consultation, as stated
in the informed consent.
- Cancellation/No-Show Policy: Payment must be made in advance. No
refunds will be given if the client does not show up for an appointment.
If the client informs the personal trainer of an absence at least
8 hours in advance, the client will not be charged for the missed
appointment and the Personal Trainer and the client can arrange the
next session. If the client does not inform the instructor of an absence,
the client will be charged for the missed appointment and will not
receive credit.
Equipment Check-out (Service Center/Rm 135)
- All equipment and towels
may be checked out with your membership card. For anything not returned
the same day, there will be a charge of $1/day. Anything not returned
within two weeks will be considered lost and the individual will be
charged a replacement cost.
- Anything checked out is the sole responsibility of those who checked
it out from that point until returned. Any lost or stolen item will
be charged to the member.
- If damages occur, the member will be responsible for the cost of
repairing or replacing the item(s).
- Any member, who has pending fees for items not returned or damaged
for any reason, will have his/her WRAC privileges suspended immediately
until fees have been paid.
- Abuse of equipment will not be tolerated. Users will be charged
replacement cost for damaged items, and may lose facility privileges.
- No one under the age of 14 may borrow equipment.
Weight Room and Fitness Area Policies
- Patrons should use extreme
caution in lifting weights to avoid potential injury to themselves
and others. Spotters are recommended for all lifters.
- To avoid congestion and waiting lines, patrons should limit their
workout times to 15-minute intervals per piece of weight equipment
and 30-minute intervals for cardiovascular equipment.
- Proper workout clothing and shoes must be worn in all weight and
fitness areas. No denim pants/shorts, cutoff shorts, boots, hard-soled
shoes, or non-athletic shoes allowed.
- All patrons must have a towel to enter weight and fitness areas.
Patrons are required to wipe down all equipment, benches, and cardio-vascular
machines after use.
- Absolutely no food, gum, or beverages are allowed in any of the
weight and fitness rooms. Only water is allowed in each room, and
it must be in a resealable plastic container.
- Each person may have only one set of dumbbells off the rack at one
time. All equipment must be returned to its proper location after
use.
- All equipment must remain in the weight and fitness rooms.
- Weight belts that may damage equipment must be removed or covered
completely.
- Personal belongings such as backpacks, wallets, etc. may not be
placed anywhere in the weight room or fitness areas.
- Please direct all concerns and maintenance needs to the weight
or fitness room attendant.
- Weights and bars of any kind should not be leaned against the wall,
pillars, equipment, or mirrors.
- Top loading additional weights on to the weight stack machines
is unsafe and prohibited.
- Only NSU Department of Wellness and Recreation personal trainers are allowed to train users
in this facility.
- Persons under the age of 16 years may not use the free weight room.
- Profanity, excessively loud or suggestive language will not be
tolerated and may lead to suspension from the WRAC facility.
- All shorts and work-out pants must be pulled up to at least waist
level.
- For safety reasons & electronic interference with facility
equipment, cell phone usage is strictly prohibited while
using weight or fitness areas.
- No loitering.
- Weight and fitness rooms attendants may ask any patron to leave
the facility if
necessary
- Any violation of any of these policies may lead to a prolonged
and/or permanent suspension from the WRAC facility.
- No one under the age of 14 may use the strength machine room, fitness,
or cardio rooms.
Racquetball Court
Regulations
- Reservations may be made
up to 1 week in advance at the service desk.
- Courts will be given away 10 minutes after a reservation if you
are a "no show".
- Check in at the service center before going on court.
- Only non-marking tennis shoes and non-marking racquetballs may
be used
- Protective eyewear is required and must be worn properly
- Metal racquets must have racquet guards
- No beverages are allowed inside racquetball courts. Please leave
water bottles outside the courts.
- Only racquetball, walleyball, and handball are allowed to be played
on these courts.
- Any player not following rules will be asked to leave the facility.
Infractions will be reported to the facility coordinator and may result
in loss of privileges.
- No one under the age of 12 may use the racquetball courts.
Gymnasium Regulations
- DUNKING,
GRABBING, or HANGING from the rims is strictly prohibited. You will
immediately be asked to leave the facility. A report will be turned
in to the facility coordinator and may result in loss of privileges.
- Playing or shooting basketball is not allowed when any part of
the volleyball or badminton systems are set up. Ask a building supervisor
to take them down.
- No bags or excess equipment allowed in the gym. Please use the
cubby holes provided in the free weight room, fitness floor, or
lockers.
- Proper athletic clothing and footwear must be worn at all times.
Only non-marking athletic shoes are acceptable. No bare feet or sock/stocking
feet are allowed. No denim pants/shorts or cut-off shorts allowed.
Shirts must be worn at all times.
- For safety reasons: no hats or jewelry may be worn in the gym while
participating in activity. Shorts or sports pants must be pulled above
the waist.
- No fighting, foul or abusive language will be tolerated.
- No food or drink is allowed in the gymnasium.
- Chewing gum is prohibited.
- Hitting or throwing any balls against the walls is prohibited.
No one is allowed to strike the protective mats on the walls for any
reason.
- Cell phone use on the gymnasium floor is prohibited.
- No loitering
- Any violation of rules may lead to a lengthy or permanent ban from
the facility.
Indoor Track Regulations ( 1 mile = 9 laps)
- The jogging direction
will be rotated daily. Please follow the posted direction.
- The outside lane is for jogging. The two inside lanes are for walking.
- Faster joggers stay to the outside lane.
- Stretching and observation are allowed in designated locations
only.
- No loitering is allowed on track surface. No standing and watching the gymnasium from the track.
- No food, beverages, or chewing gum allowed in track area.
- Appropriate clothing and shoes should be worn at all times.
- Children ages 8-13
must be supervised by a parent. at ALL TIMES.
Group Exercise Room Policies
- Personal items must be
stored in the cubicles provided in the aerobics room 154.
No personal items may be brought
in to any other group exercise areas.
- Any equipment provided in a group exercise class may not be taken
out of the room in which the class is being held.
- Personal hand weights are not allowed. Hand weights will be provided
for appropriate classes. Hand weights may only be used at the direction
of the leader.
- Capacities will be strictly enforced. Allowing extra participants
into the rooms is a safety hazard. The number of participants will
vary based on the type of activity and available equipment.
- Entry to any class is not allowed ten minutes after the class has
begun.
- No one under the age of 14 may use the group exercise rooms.
Game Room Policies
- Equipment for the game
rooms may be borrowed at the service center rm. 135.
ID will be requested to use equipment.
- The member is responsible for all borrowed equipment from the time
taken from the service center. You are responsible for any lost, stolen,
or damaged equipment, no matter how it happens. No one under the age
of 14 may borrow equipment.
- There is a time limit of one hour per table if people are waiting.
- Abuse of equipment will not be tolerated. Users will be charged
cost of damages and may lose WRAC privileges.
General WRAC Building Policies
- A valid ID or a guest
fee is required to enter the WRAC Facility.
- All entry and exiting is done through the front doors of the facility.
Using any other doors for any reason other than a fire is a violation
and may result in immediate termination of all WRAC facility privileges.
This is a prosecutable offense.
- Admitting a non-member in to the facility is a violation and may
result in immediate termination of all WRAC facility privileges for
all parties involved.
- Children ages 8-18 may use certain facilities. Please see individual
facility rules and regulations.
- Athletic clothing and footwear must be worn in all athletic facilities
in the center.
- Smoking and chewing tobacco are prohibited in the WRAC Facility.
- Absolutely no alcohol, drugs, or weapons are to be brought on to
the WRAC premises.
- Mopeds, bicycles, baby carriages, skateboards, roller skates, and roller blades
are not allowed in the facility under any circumstances.
- No loitering in the facility or on the grounds of the facility.
- No bare feet or stocking/sock feet allowed in the facility other
than the locker room.
- Photographic devices may not be used in the WRAC facility.
- No types of sport activities or bouncing balls are allowed in the
hallways.
- Anything posted on the bulletin boards must get permission from
a WRAC Professional staff member.
- Any students who owe money to the WRAC for any reason may have
a hold put on his/her University account in the registrars office
until all bills have been paid.
- NSU students who fail to adhere to these policies, or those contained
in the NSU Code of Conduct, will be assured due process as allowed
by the NSU Code of Conduct.
Conduct of Fitness Center
Users
All members and users of the WRAC Facility are expected to be responsible,
courteous, and safety conscious at all times. Disorderly conduct, physical
or verbal abuse against patrons or employees, misuse of the facility
or its equipment, or disregard for the fitness centers' policies will
not be tolerated. Violators will be asked to leave the facility and
will be subject to disciplinary action and/or payment for damages.
Violators of the above policy may also be suspended from using the
facilities as determined by the Director of Wellness and Recreation. Suspensions
may be for a minimum of one month or a maximum of a permanent suspension.
Suspensions may be appealed to the NSU Recreational Sports Committee.
This decision will be final. Fee paying members who are suspended will
not have any portion of their fees refunded.
