Traditional Majors at the Louisiana Scholars' College

You can
choose
to pursue a traditional major or to develop a more individualized
or interdisciplinary program in one of the concentrations within the
major in Liberal Arts
and Sciences.
Whatever
your choice, you will be guided in this decision making process by a
faculty advisor within the Scholars' College.

In some cases a narrower focus best fits
a student's academic interests and career plans. If so, the Scholars'
College offers honors versions of seventeen traditional majors which include:

These majors are offered within the guidelines established by agreements with departments of NSU. Students must complete all requirements, or their equivalent, for this major as detailed in the NSU catalog, in addition to the Scholars' College Common Curriculum and a Senior Thesis project in their area. In some cases, the student will be assigned an advisor within the appropriate NSU department in addition to his or her Scholars' College advisor.
