Here are some essential issues you need to consider:

Housing

Have you

  • filled out a Housing Application and paid the Housing Application Fee?

  • filled out a lease for your room at University Place, paid the lease fee, and provided a copy of your parents' or guardians' identification?

  • picked out a roommate? (This isn't required, but if you want a specific roommate, make sure you have designated each other on the application.)


    • ***Your housing reservation is not complete without BOTH the application and the lease. Space is filled on a first come, first served basis, so please make sure you have completed everything! Not sure, call the University Place Office at 318-214-5400.***


    Freshman Connection

    Have you

  • made your reservation for Freshman Connection? We recommend that you attend one of the two-day Freshman Connection Sessions.

  • Dates for Summer 2008 - May 29-30; June 27; July 10-11; July 25

    Final Paperwork

  • sent in your final transcript?

  • made your plans for Orientation and moving in?

  • Fall 2008 Dates: move-in is August 21, 2008, 10am-2pm

  • Convocation is at 3pm in Morrison 227 on August 21st

  • The first Orientation class is August 21st, at 8:15pm.
