Abstract
On April 30, 1996, a female Tursiops truncatus stranded in
Matagorda Bay, Texas, after suffering numerous external injuries, and
was taken to the Texas Marine Mamnmal Stranding Network in Galveston,
Texas, for rehabilitation. Physiological and behavioral observations
were kept 24 hours a day to help monitor Mattie's health and document
her recovery. Using this data, I qualitatively and quantitatively
showed the significant improvement in Mattie's health between May,
June, July, and August
