11.  Give money.  (You knew we had to ask,)
Donations of any amount may be made through the NSU Alumni Association and earmarked for LSC.  The NSU Foundation will help in coordinating larger donations and grants.  Many employers will match employee donations to higher education.  With our current number of alumni a modest donation of only $1 per month each would net close to $4,000 per year, enough to have a significant impact on our program.  We need your collective support to:
help students with duplicating and binding theses ($25-50);
purchase expendable supplies for science theses ($100-250);
send students to conferences (average registration fee, $125);
take students to cultural events in larger cities  ($1 per mile);
send faculty to international meetings (average registration fee, $250);
provide recognition gifts for freshmen and exceptional recruits ($400);
pay membership fees for international studies consortia ($500);
support students in financial crisis ($500);
upgrade faculty computers (new laser printers, $600 each);
fund a student research assistant ($700 per semester);
match funds for grants ($100-20,000);
endow new scholarships ($10,000 each);
endow additional professorships ($60,000, earning a $40,000 state match);
endow a chair ($600,000, earning a $400,000 state match).
Remember the College when you receive your NSU Alumni Annual Giving request.  Thank you for your support!
