Jim Picht has had the opportunity to view first-hand and provide expert guidance as capitalism has come to Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. He has served as:
- Policy Analyst, Institute of Public Administration, Cabinet of Ministers, Ukraine
- Fiscal Advisor, Ministry of Finance and State Duma, Russian Republic
- Short-term Technical Advisor with the U.S. Department of Treasury at the Ministry of Finance, Bosnia-Hercegovina
- Senior Advisor and Chief Trainer, Asian Development Bank project, Ministry of Finance, Kyrgystan with the Barrants Group LLC.
- Senior Fiscal Advisor, Ministry of Finance, Republic of Kyrgystan
Dr. Picht also serves as Northwestern State University's coordinator for the International Student Exchange Program (ISEP). He assists students in completing their applications to the program and in assessing their transfer credit when they return. Incoming ISEP students see Dr. Picht for assistance in registering for classes and navigating the various aspects of academic life on our campus.
