Assistant Professor of Economics

Jim Picht has had the opportunity to view first-hand and provide expert guidance as capitalism has come to Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. He has served as:

In addition to teaching introductory and advanced courses in economic thought, Dr. Picht teaches Law and Economics, as well as a variety of courses in Russian language, literature and history.

Dr. Picht also serves as Northwestern State University's coordinator for the International Student Exchange Program (ISEP).  He assists students in completing their applications to the program and in assessing their transfer credit when they return.  Incoming ISEP students see Dr. Picht for assistance in registering for classes and navigating the various aspects of academic life on our campus.
