Dr. Massimo Bezoari
Associate Professor and Richard E. Lounsbery Professor of Chemistry

The newest member of the Scholars' College faculty, Dr. Bezoari 's area of expertise is organic chemistry. He has extensive experience in curriculum development and has received a number of grants from the National Science Foundation for improving undergraduate laboratory experiences in chemistry.

Prior to becoming a university professor, Dr. Bezoari worked as a project leader for Dow Chemical USA in Plaquemine, LA. He also has over fifteen years experience teaching chemistry in liberal arts colleges. He is especially interested in directing undergraduate research projects and in advising students who intend to go to medical school.

Dr. Bezoari teaches both General Chemistry in the Common Curriculum and Organic Chemistry, an upper level course for chemistry majors, pre-medical students and others in the sciences.

Dr. Bezoari is the second recipient of the Richard E. Lounsbery Professorship of Chemistry.
