Dr. Cundall (or Dr. Mike to his students) is a philosopher whose research focuses on the philosophy of psychology. Within this field he focuses on Theory of Mind, reductionism and the cognition more generally. He also has research interests in the philosophy of science relative to reduction, the special sciences and causation. His final area of research is humor, specifically the cognition and recognition of humor and the propriety of racist and ethnic humor. He is currently beginning a research project into the perception of humor in naturalistic environments. Dr. Mike is also the Assistant Director of the Louisiana Scholars' College and has been working in honors programs almost since leaving graduate school. When he is not teaching or researching he can be found practicing the martial art of aikido, dancing and teaching a varieties of dance. He has a wife, two young boys, a dog and a cat. |
