Northwestern State University continuously engages in a multidimensional approach to planning and evaluation as documented in its assessment cycle, which incorporates assessment, outcomes, and evidence of improvement. The cyclical strategic-planning process uses multiple measures to assess both academic and nonacademic units. All objectives supporting the University mission and data gathered during the evaluation processes are used to make decisions and provide direction, with consideration to the budget, in accomplishing the University's mission.
