Let Northwestern State University assit you with the planning of your next event. Whether it be a social gathering, board meeting, or family picnic, we offer a vast array of options and accommodations to suit you.
Event facilities are located on the main campus of Northwestern State University in beautiful, historic Natchitoches, LA. The campus covers some 916 acres and is situated on the banks of the beautiful Cane River Lake.
Easily accessible by interstate 49, we are just 60 minutes away from Shreveport (Louisiana's third largest city), 45 minutes away from Alexandria, and four hours from the major metropolitan area of New Orleans, Houston, and Dallas.
Our Facilities
Choose from over nine buildings to suit your conference
needs--ballrooms, theaters, auditoriums and recital halls--to name a
few. Then we set up the facilities to suit your specific situation.
Events and Catering
Aramark will be your catering provider. We are committed to quality,
service, exceptional food, and exceeding your expectations. We cater
everything from the most casual afternoon coffee breaks, to the most
sophisticated dinners and wedding receptions with a detailed flair
that is unsurpassed in the community. We will gladly set up an
appointment to meet with you and discuss your event.
Services
Complete Business Office:
We can assist you with typing documents, preparing presentations
using Powerpoint, or copying documents for hand outs and other uses.
All conferees have access to use computer labs and library.
Audiovisual Department:
Projection screens, projectors, laptops, and sound/lighting systems
are available for a nominal charge. Additionally, serveral
facilities have special sound/lighting capabilities.
Lodging
All lodging facilities are available from May through August. Select
from air-conditioned, community bath residence halls or private on
campus apartments. University Columns apartments, a property of
Century Development, provide air-conditioned four-bedroom and
two-bedroom units. Each apartment has a full kitchen with stove,
refrigerator, and dishwasher. Spacious two-bedroom apartments have
private baths; four-bedroom apartments have two bathrooms each.
