How much
does Student Insurance and Health Services cost?
Student Insurance is $8.00 for the fall and spring semester and $4.00 for
summer.
What is the difference between Student Insurance and Health Services?
Student Insurance is an injury and sickness plan that offers benefits for ambulance transport, out-patient testing, emergency room care, and hospitalization. It does not offer benefits for physician’s office visits or prescription medication.
Health Services is the “walk-in” medical clinic on campus. Students who have paid the Health Services fee are entitled to receive care at the clinic including: physical assessment, some simple medical testing, treatment with over-the-counter medications, health education, allergy injections, screenings, referrals to contracted physician for $10.00 co-pay, and referrals to off campus resources for mental health and physical health needs.
How do I know if I have Student Insurance or Health Services?
As you go through the fee payment process you will receive a fee sheet. If Student Insurance and Health Services are listed on the fee sheet you are entitled to benefits. If one or the other is not listed and you would like to receive benefits, stop by the Student Services table at fee payment and request it be added to your fee sheet. You may also visit Health Services (located next to University Police) within one week after the last day of fee payment to request benefits.
