CORE interactive library tutorial

Shreveport Nursing Library recommends Purdue’s CORE 8 key interactive tutorials for developing an effective information strategy.
Types of Info Types of Searches Search Basics Indexes Topic Exploration Internet Keyword Search Evaluating Sources Step 1: Click “Create Account” and enter the requested data. Change the drop-down box from "Student" to "other." Do not enter anything into "Professor" or "Course" boxes.
Step 2: Type your Username and Password you just created, then Click on “Log In.”
Step 3: Click on and complete each of the eight tutorials. (The tutorials for "Plan Your Project," "Libraries Catalog," and "Wrapping Up" are specific to Purdue and you may omit those.)
Step 4: Click "Quizzes" and click on the Quiz that corresponds to the tutorial you completed. After each Quiz, type your instructor’s email address in the box “E-mail the results to.” Click "Score Quiz," and you'll see your score instantly.
