Typically, "Friends" are Northwestern alumni who wish to continue using
library materials and databases after graduation; but anyone may become
a Friend.
You'll need a Friend of the Library I.D. Card to check out materials.
Circulation Period is usually 3 weeks.
For a list of the Nursing Databases, go to
http://www.nsula.edu/watson_library/database/nurse06.htm
Overdue items are fined at 50 cents each
per day for 3-week items and one dollar per day for 7-day items. Lost
book fees are $60 per book plus overdue fines. You may not share I.D.
numbers. Termination of privileges occurs from abuse.
We send overdue notices by e-mail, so
you must have an account. If you don't have email, you
can create one via free services, like Hotmail
http://www.msn.com or Yahoo
http://my.yahoo.com
A Friends account costs $35, by check or money order only,
payable to “Friends of the Library,” plus a one-time five dollar
I.D. Card fee, check or money order only, payable to “NSU”.
To become a Friend, complete an application and present it to the
Watson Library Office, the Leesville Circulation Desk or the Shreveport Nursing Library Circulation Desk along with your checks or
money orders. You may print out the
form
by clicking here, or pick one up at the above locations.
