List of Educable Children Between the Ages of Six and Eighteen Years

Two ledgers documenting the educable children of  ten wards in Natchitoches Parish for 1899 and 1903, and each contains over ten thousand handwritten entries.  Some of these records are particularly important considering the lack of remaining 1890 federal census records.
