Northwestern Theatre and Dance to perform long-running comedy with a different slant on Shakespeare
NATCHITOCHES – “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] (again),” will be performed by Northwestern State University Theatre and Dance on March 11-15 in Theatre West. Performance times are March 11-14 at 7:30 p.m. and March 14-15 at 2 p.m. Pia Wyatt is the director.

Three actors, Jezek Maxwell of Hallsville, Texas, Kaitlyn Williams of Arp, Texas, and KeShaun Bridgewater of Gonzales “play many parts” in a foolhardy attempt to perform all 37 of Shakespeare’s plays in a single evening. It is an irreverent, fast-paced romp through the Bard’s plays. The play was London’s longest-running comedy, running for nine years in London’s West End. The three actors weave their wicked way through all of Shakespeare’s comedies, histories and tragedies in one wild ride that will leave you breathless and helpless with laughter.
