NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University’s Purple Pizzazz Pomline, Demon Dazzlers and Cheerleading team joined the opening ceremonies of the 2026 Natchitoches Parish Fair on Oct. 14 with performances for community members gathered at the fairgrounds.
The spirit groups were among the local performers featured as the fair opened for several days of carnival rides, exhibits, food and entertainment.
Members of Purple Pizzazz Pomline, Demon Dazzlers and NSU Cheerleading each performed routines during the event, bringing students from the university into one of Natchitoches Parish’s longtime fall traditions.
The three groups regularly represent Northwestern State at athletic events, university programs and community appearances throughout the year.
The Natchitoches Parish Fair continues through Oct. 17 with carnival rides, live entertainment, exhibits, fair food and other activities.
