NATCHITOCHES – The 37th Annual Classic on the Cane Marching Contest will be held Saturday, Oct. 31 at Turpin Stadium beginning at 9:30 a.m. Twenty-two high school bands from around the region will compete.
Advance tickets are $15 and $10 for senior citizens, military personnel and NSU faculty and staff and children age 5-10. Tickets on the day of the event are $20 for general admission and $10 for senior citizens, military personnel and NSU faculty and staff and children age 7-12. Participating bands include Many, North DeSoto, Alexandria Senior High, Byrd, Buckeye, Pineville, Jena, Pine Prairie, Delcambre, Patterson and Jefferson (Texas). Also participating are Central, Tioga, El Dorado (Arkansas), Jennings, Haughton, Airline, Acadiana, Parkway, Southside, Benton and West Monroe.
