Concentrations

The Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences program offers two distinct concentration options to help you specialize in a growing area of diagnostic imaging. Each pathway provides focused training, hands-on experience, and a strong foundation for professional certification and employment.

Radiography Concentration

Available at Shreveport & Alexandria Campuses

 

This concentration prepares students to become certified radiologic technologists, equipped to perform diagnostic X-ray procedures in clinical and hospital settings. Emphasis is placed on patient care, radiation protection, anatomy, and high-quality imaging techniques essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Ultrasound Concentration

First Sonography Program in North Louisiana

 

The Ultrasound Concentration offers specialized training in diagnostic medical sonography, including abdominal, obstetric, vascular, and small parts imaging. As the first program of its kind in North Louisiana, it combines classroom instruction with clinical experience to prepare students for careers as registered sonographers in a variety of healthcare environments.
