College of Nursing & School of Allied Health (CONSAH)

Shreveport

Home to over 1,000 students, the Nursing and School of Allied Health Education Center at 1800 Line Avenue provides a full suite of resources for students in Nursing and Radiologic Sciences. This historic campus includes:

  • Line Avenue School (on the National Register of Historic Places)
  • Library Building with library, multimedia center, nursing skills lab, classrooms, and lecture hall
  • Faculty Tower for offices and student organization spaces
  • Warrington Building with radiologic sciences labs, computer labs, and the Child and Family Network

Students gain real-world experience through partnerships with Shreveport’s top hospitals, clinics, and healthcare agencies. On-campus parking is available, and while the facility is a no-smoking zone, it is also a dedicated academic environment—no visitors or children are permitted in classrooms or labs.

Shreveport Learning Center

Launched in 2015, the Shreveport Learning Center enriches student learning with:

  • Computer stations and printers
  • Tutoring services
  • Scientific models and anatomy aids
  • Digital educational software

Originally created through a Title III Grant, this student-centered space supports academic success and innovation for over 200 students annually.

Natchitoches

Located on the NSU main campus, the College of Nursing and School of Allied Health Office is in Fournet Hall, featuring:

  • Classroom space and a 200-computer student lab
  • Two on-site faculty members for instruction and advising
  • Visiting faculty from the Shreveport Campus
  • Access to the Watson Library and 200+ campus computers

Clinical courses for the Associate of Science in Nursing program are available to Licensed Practical Nurses in the region through local healthcare facilities.

CENLA Campus (Rapides Parish & Rapides Medical Center)

Serving central Louisiana, the NSU CENLA Campus offers selected degree programs in Nursing and Allied Health.

Leesville

Strategically located to serve Fort Polk military personnel and nearby parishes, the Leesville Campus has provided quality nursing education since 1995. Students benefit from:

  • Three full-time nursing faculty
  • Modern computer labs with access to system-wide resources
  • A simulation-equipped nursing lab
  • Partnerships with hospitals and nursing homes in Leesville and DeRidder
