BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY

 

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

The Electronics Engineering Technology Bachelor of Science program has five educational objectives as follows:

PEO #1: Demonstrate technical proficiency in the field of electronics engineering technology to solve practical and complex problems in professional settings.

PEO #2: Apply quantitative reasoning, analytical skills, and critical thinking in solving technical problems at their workplace.

PEO #3: Effectively communicate technical knowledge, ideas, and proposals to all team members and supervisors at their workplace.

PEO #4: Contribute to or lead projects in successful completion in professional environments.

PEO #5: Have strong ethical, organizational, and management skills in professional environments.

ABET STUDENT OUTCOMES

Starting Fall 2019, the Engineering Technology Department has been using the following ABET student outcomes for the Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology (B.S. in EET) degree program:

  1. an ability to apply knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology to solve broadly-defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline;
  2. an ability to design systems, components, or processes meeting specified needs for broadly-defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline;
  3. an ability to apply written, oral, and graphical communication in broadly-defined technical and non-technical environments; and an ability to identify and use appropriate technical literature;
  4. an ability to conduct standard tests, measurements, and experiments and to analyze and interpret the results to improve processes; and
  5. an ability to function effectively as a member as well as a leader on technical teams.
