Watch LiveTo earn a badge for professional development, attend a professional development workshop offered through Electronic Learning. Some workshops will require the completion of an assignment before the badge is awarded. For example, after a faculty member attends the Rubrics workshop, they will be required to submit a rubric for evaluation. After the rubric passes evaluation, the badge for the Rubrics Workshop will be awarded. The badge will then be sent to the faculty’s NSU email address. To accept the badge, click through the email and create an account on the platform. The badge will be added to your library and can be shared to multiple social sites and portfolios. Various workshops are offered each month, and current schedules can be found on the Upcoming Sessions page or in Messenger every Monday. In this workshop, we will cover the breadth of available options within the LMS and demonstrate the basic tools needed for implementing a Moodle course.

Stream is the video library system available through Office365. Learn how to upload videos to your library, add interactivity, share with your courses, and caption your video content.

Microsoft Teams includes a synchronous meeting platform that is very similar to Webex, but includes some features of particular interest to instructors who regularly record their meetings to share with students. We will demonstrate the tools for scheduling, running, and recording Microsoft Teams Meetings. We will also compare the platform to Webex and discuss similarities and differences between the two meeting systems.

Forms is the name of the form creation tool in Office365. Feedback forms can be valuable for increasing engagement as well as gathering feedback. Join us in this workshop to see how you can create both standard feedback forms as well as quizzes with right and wrong answers. We will also demonstrate how forms can be linked or embedded in courses, documents, and more!
Accessibility has become a hot topic in online education and is now a required element of a course reviewed using the Quality Matter standards. Join us in this workshop and you will learn how to create accessible documents in Word and Adobe Acrobat. We will also cover some accessible elements within Moodle.
What does it mean for objectives, materials, activities, and assessments to be aligned within an online course? We will present a method for evaluating your course to ensure that all of the elements fit together. Attendees will be required to submit one alignment document analyzing one of their courses after participating in the workshop.

In this workshop, you will be introduced to creating Turnitin assignments within Moodle. You will be shown how to create the assignment, how students will submit, how to check the submission for originality, and how to grade the submission.
H5P is a versatile tool that allows you to create interactive assignments for online classes. In this workshop, we will focus on creating an Interactive Video assignment, in which we will add text and quiz questions over a video file. We also demonstrate how to add an H5P activity to a Moodle class.
The Master Course Creator is a series of workshops that introduces key aspects of creating high quality online courses. These workshops require completion of an assignment before the badge is issued. They are presented individually, but to earn the Master Course Creator Badge participate in all the workshops listed in the series within a three-year span and complete the design of a quality online course.
