NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University’s NSU’s Wellness, Recreation and Activities Center will abide by Gov. John Bel Edwards’ public health directive intended to curtail the spread of COVID-19 and will close at the end of business hours March 16.  The WRAC will remain closed through April 13 when the governor will reevaluate the state public health situation at which time the measures could be extended.

The NSU Recreation Complex has cancelled several large group events.  The NSU Football Triple B Invitational Golf Tournament set for March 20 and Natchitoches Regional Medical Center’s Doctor’s Party on March 28 have been cancelled. Rotary Club luncheons, normally held every Tuesday, have been suspended until further notice.

The pool at the Rec Complex, which had not yet opened for the season, will remain closed indefinitely. The golf course remains open.
